We are a Band of Billions

Globally, 1.9 billion people identify as having a disability. That works out to 1 in 4 people.

The Problem of High Unemployment

In 2020, 18% of Americans with a disability were working as compared to 62% without a disability.

Many of us want to work, but cannot get hired. This challenge is being turned into opportunity by a growing number of people with disabilities who are founding their own businesses.

Our Mission

Band of Billions supports and promotes businesses founded to employ people with disabilities.

Companies decide whether or not they hire you, but nobody decides whether or not you can work except for you. Band of Billions exists to spur both business and economic growth within the disability community.

The Opportunity

In the United States, there are 80 million people who identify as having a disability and 149 million more people who are friends and family. Together, we Americans represent a powerful economic force of 8.4 trillion dollars in disposable income that we can invest directly into small business leveraging the talent of people with disabilities.

Meanwhile, one of the largest challenges to small businesses, particularly since the 2020 pandemic, is connecting with new customers. Band of Billions aims to build the largest business directory to more effectively connect socially-minded customers to businesses.
